1. Data we collect
- Account data: your phone number (used to sign in with a one-time code) and your name, if you enter it.
- Herd data: what you record in the app about your camels — names, mating and birth dates, tests, pedigrees, reminders, and photos.
- Record location (optional): when you document a mating or birth event, a geographic location may be saved at the moment of recording. This location is visible only to you (the record owner) and is never included in share links.
- WhatsApp messages:if you message the Madani number on WhatsApp or enable reminders over WhatsApp, we store your messages and their media (images, clips, documents) to reply to you and provide the service. WhatsApp messages are transmitted via Meta's platform in accordance with its policies.
- Technical data: your device token for sending notifications, and basic operational information to improve the service.
2. How we use data
- Running the app: tracking breeding cycles, reminders, reports, and the sharing features you request yourself.
- Sending notifications you have approved (app notifications, or WhatsApp reminders once you enable them in Settings — and you can turn them off at any time from Settings or by sending the word "إيقاف" / "Stop").
- Responding to your enquiries through the support channel.
- We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
3. Sharing
- Only by your decision: share links (such as a mating certificate or an ownership transfer) are created only at your request, and display the data of the specified record only.
- Herders: if you grant a herder access to your herd, they see only what you allow, and you can revoke access at any time.
- Service providers: data is hosted on Supabase (secured databases and storage), verification codes are sent via Twilio, notifications via Apple, and WhatsApp messages via Meta. Each provider processes only the data needed to run its service.
4. Protection
Data is transmitted encrypted, and access to it is restricted so that each user sees only their own data. Photos are stored in private spaces that can only be reached through temporary signed links.
5. Retention and deletion
Your data remains as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete account), and your data and photos are then removed from our systems within a short period, except for anything we may be required to retain for a limited time for regulatory purposes.
6. Children
The app is intended for camel owners and is not directed at anyone under 18 years of age.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time, and we will post any update on this page along with its date.
